The Heart Truth® needs your help!
Your support of The Heart Truth® campaign is vital to giving women life-saving messages about their risk for heart disease and how to lower it. Taking action requires the efforts of many groups and individuals, and your involvement is key to delivering the message in your community.
Every woman needs to hear The Heart Truth. If you're interested in spreading The Heart Truth start by checking out the local activities that already may be taking place in your area. To have the greatest impact, put your energy, talent, and effort to the best use possible by working with others who share the same goal.
There are many ways you can get involved with The Heart Truth campaign. Read below for several options on how you can help raise awareness about women and heart disease.
Plan an event
How about hosting a Red Dress luncheon with heart healthy foods, organizing a walk around your community to share The Heart Truth with your neighbors, or using The Heart Truth Speaker's Kit to educate others about women and heart disease? Find many more sample ideas and tools to help plan and implement your own Heart Truth event.
Bring The Red Dress Collection to your community!
Organizations nationwide are creating diverse celebrations of women's heart health, such as Red Dress-themed health fairs, galas, dances, celebrity teas, power breakfasts, and fashion shows to benefit and promote their own women's heart health awareness programs. On a limited basis, The Heart Truth campaign can provide a subset of the national Red Dress Collection to your city through the campaign's Single City Program. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your existing women's heart health program, or to establish the foundation for a new initiative. For more information contact Partners@hearttruth.org.
Become a partner of The Heart Truth
The Heart Truth recognizes the important role that partnerships with organizations and corporations play in disseminating information and messages about heart health to American women. Since its launch in 2002, the campaign has worked with a variety of groups all committed to women's health, heart health, and raising awareness about heart disease in women.
Use The Heart Truth Logo
Approved partners may incorporate the campaign logo into a variety of materials (e.g., PSAs, advertisements, in-store displays, television commercials, packaging) to empower women to take action against their risks for heart disease. The Heart Truth logo is trademarked and owned by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). To maintain the integrity of the campaign, use of The Heart Truth logo requires approval from the NHLBI. Additionally, the logo can only be used for materials and activities related to women's heart disease. Visit the Image Library to download the campaign logo and logo usage guidelines.
